 Hot Weather Dress Code Minimize

Students are permitted to wear shorts the remaining days of school.  Please check your handbook concerning appropriate attire.  The length of shorts should be no shorter than 7 inches from the bottom of the knee.  It used to be measured by the size of the assignment notebooks, but our notebook size has changed.  Students will not be permitted to stay in if they are wearing shorts and the outside weather is cold.  Please have your child dress accordingly.

 Teacher Appreciation Week Minimize

May 5-9, 2008

We are very fortunate to have such a great school.  We couldn’t achieve this without our dedicated teachers and staff.  Help us celebrate “Teacher Appreciation Week” by having your child write a letter to his/her teacher, a staff member or a past teacher.  It doesn’t have to be a long letter.  Let their teachers know how much they are appreciated.

The “Apple Team” will host a luncheon for the staff, Friday, May 9th.  We look forward to it.

 Report Card Envelopes Minimize

Once again, we will be mailing report cards home in June.  We are asking parents to do the following:

Kdg. & Grade 1:  An envelope is provided for your child’s card.  Please put 2-42¢ stamps or 2-Forever stamps on it and return it in your packets.

Grades 2-8:  You will need to address an envelope to your child and put 1-42¢ stamp or 1-forever stamp on it.  We ask that you please use a business size white  envelope (Approx. 9½ x 4½).

 Return by Monday, May 19th.

Postage is increasing to 42¢ on May 12th.  Please make sure that you put the proper postage on your envelopes.
