 Visitor Info Minimize

School Visitors

Use the main door on 4th Street and ring the bell. Everyone must come to the office before going to classrooms or anywhere else in the building. After signing in the log book, you will be given a badge to wear. We thank you in advance for cooperation.

Parking

You may park in the 3rd Street parking lot or in the grassy lot which is off Madison Street and at the end of the alley that runs along the 3rd Street lot. Please avoid parking in front of church when you are going along on field trips. We reserve the area in front of church for parishioners attending Mass and for visiting church during the day.

Gym Parking

The parking spaces next to the insurance company on Monroe St. are reserved for private parking.  Please use our new parking lot on 3rd Street for sporting events.

 Lunch Payment Program Minimize

Buying Lunches

If you are choosing to buy your child’s lunch by the week, you MUST write separate checks for each child.

Daily Count

Once again, we would like to remind parents that we take a daily lunch count. This means that we order lunches for only the students that are here when we take attendance. If your child is coming to school late, please pack them a sack lunch. This would apply to anyone that has paid for lunches in advance. If you have concerns or questions, please contact Mrs. Beery.

Milk Money

If you have money in your lunch account, do not send in money for milk if your child is eating a cold lunch and wants milk. The cost of the milk will be taken out of their account. Please note: Any student that is on free or reduced lunch and are choosing to eat a sack lunch from home will need to pay for a milk.

 Dress Code Minimize

St. Joseph School has a standardized dress policy for all elementary and middle school students. A standardized dress policy encourages students to express their individuality through personality and academic achievements, not outward appearances.

Please refer to your letter and dress policy which was mailed to you June 10, 2010 – changes to the dress policy include:

  • Sweat, athletic, or flannel pants or shorts may not be worn
  • Shirts and pants may not have any writing, characters or decals of any type except for a small logo (no larger than a credit card)

I know this will be an adjustment for many. We will work through this together. Please note: St. Joe Pridewear may be worn anytime. Students are required to wear nice clothes when they attend they all-school Mass on Thursdays.
